John Villela

I’ve been a supervisor in the construction industry for eight years–nearly five of those years with Estrin-Hinds. I enjoy working for E-H because Eric is constantly pushing us to become better at what we do–not only as employees, but in all aspects of our lives. E-H has a caring family environment that makes you feel like you’re a part of something special. It is a testament to Eric that he has guys working for him for more than 20 years in an industry where employees are turning over constantly.

I’ve always told people that what I do is like a slow version of the home improvement shows I like to watch on TV. With this job, we often get the extreme satisfaction of seeing a finished product–and that is a very rewarding feeling. We’re challenged constantly, but I enjoy the fast pace we run at. Construction is never boring and it’s great to be considered an essential worker.

When I’m not working, I enjoy surfing and hiking with my wife and three children. I’m also committed to my volunteering as a youth group leader at my church.
