Co-Founder

My construction career started in 1962 as a superintendent. Along the way I have been involved with all types of construction: multi- and single-family homes, spec projects and commercial projects. In 1977 I started Estrin Development which I managed for 12 years. Then I joined EJM Development in Los Angeles as a project manager overseeing all major jobs. It was while working at EJM in 1987 that I met Eric Hinds. Eric worked under me as a superintendent and then as a subcontractor. After the 1994 earthquake we handled the restoration and renovation of student housing at California State University Northridge. This led to several more multi-unit remodels together. In 1996 we became partners and Estrin-Hinds Construction was born. We successfully built numerous projects together until my retirement in 2008.

Since then I support Estrin-Hinds in a mentor/advisor position. My wife, Ronna, and I live in Palm Springs full-time and I am so lucky to have ample time to spoil my five grandchildren, work out each day, and enjoy the beauty of the desert. As I have grown, I like to say, “Enjoy life to the fullest while you are young and don’t wait for retirement.”
